BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 10 jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeds removed

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

  • 10 slices bacon, halved crosswise

  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ¼ cup SideDish Uncle Ronny’s BBQ Sauce

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese and cheddar until smooth.

  2. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, spreading evenly.

  3. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.

  4. In a small bowl, mix together the coconut sugar and chili powder. Sprinkle evenly over the bacon-wrapped poppers.

  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the poppers on the rack and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked through and crisp.

  6. In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the poppers with Uncle Ronny’s BBQ Sauce and return to the oven to caramelize.

  7. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
