Ingredients

    blank

    • 3 lb boneless pork shoulder

    • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

    • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

    • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

    • 1 medium yellow onion, halved and thinly sliced

    • ยผ cup apple cider vinegar

    • ยผ cup beef broth

    • 1 bottle SideDish Uncle Ronnyโ€™s BBQ Sauce

    blank

    • 12 ounce bag coleslaw mix

    • ยผ cup SideDish Classic Ranch

    • 12 slider buns

    • Sliced dill pickles or pickled jalapeรฑos

    Method

    1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cumin. Rub the spice mixture evenly all over the pork shoulder.

    2. Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides until deeply browned, about 2โ€“3 minutes per side.

    3. Add the sliced onions to the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the browned pork on top. Pour the apple cider vinegar and beef broth around the pork. Drizzle about ยพ of the BBQ sauce over the pork and onions, reserving the rest for serving.

    4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4โ€“5 hours, until the pork is fall-apart tender.

    5. Using two forks, shred the pork directly in the slow cooker and toss with the sauce. If desired, add more of the reserved BBQ sauce to taste.

    6. In a medium bowl, toss the coleslaw mix with the ranch until lightly coated. Set aside.

    7. Pile the pulled pork onto slider buns and top with a spoonful of slaw. Add pickles or jalapeรฑos, if using. Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce. Serve and enjoy!
