Ingredients
-
8-ounce package frozen dumplings (I like Laoban brand)
-
2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons SideDish Creamy SesameÂ
-
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
-
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
-
Chili crisp, optional for serving
- 2 green onions, sliced thinly on the diagonal
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped cilantro leaves
-
2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
Method
Cook the Dumplings:
Heat the oil in pan over medium-high heat and place dumplings in pan.
- Add enough water to just cover the bottom of the pan, cover, and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
Remove cover and keep cooking until the water evaporates and the dumpling bottoms are brown, about 5 more minutes.
Meanwhile, Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the SideDish Creamy Sesame, lime juice, and rice vinegar until well combined. Set aside.
To Serve:
I like to serve these in a medium, shallow bowl (like a pasta bowl). Pour the sauce and spread so that it evenly coats the bottom of the bowl. Place the dumplings in a single layer on top of the sauce. Drizzle with chili oil, if desired, and garnish with the green onions, cilantro and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds.
