Pan-Seared Dumplings with Creamy Sesame

Ingredients

  • 8-ounce package frozen dumplings (I like Laoban brand)

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

  • 2 tablespoons SideDish Creamy Sesameย
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

  • Chili crisp, optional for serving

  • 2 green onions, sliced thinly on the diagonal
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped cilantro leaves
  • 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds

    1. Heat the oil in pan over medium-high heat and place dumplings in pan.

    2. Add enough water to just cover the bottom of the pan, cover, and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
    3. Remove cover and keep cooking until the water evaporates and the dumpling bottoms are brown, about 5 more minutes.

    1. In a small bowl, whisk together the SideDish Creamy Sesame, lime juice, and rice vinegar until well combined. Set aside.

    1. I like to serve these in a medium, shallow bowl (like a pasta bowl). Pour the sauce and spread so that it evenly coats the bottom of the bowl. Place the dumplings in a single layer on top of the sauce. Drizzle with chili oil, if desired, and garnish with the green onions, cilantro and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds.
